CFD 2012/Palestine
Is a historic district in the heart of the Middle East, and a natural part of the Fertile Crescent, where a south-western part of the Levant, which today is surrounded by Arab countries, as well as a large part of the population of Arabic speakers. The other part of the population are native speakers of Hebrew and Jewish followers of the religion of immigrants and children of other peoples. Located east of the Mediterranean and the link between West Asia and North Africa, locating, and the Sinai Peninsula, at the confluence of the two continents.
And this area contains a large number of important cities historically and religiously for the three monotheistic religions, and especially Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem and Nazareth, Jericho and Tiberias. The region has a very diverse land, and is divided geographically into four regions, namely from west to east coastal plain, hills, mountains (the mountains of Galilee, Nablus mountains, the mountains of Jerusalem and Hebron Ojebal) and Ghor (Jordan Valley). In the extreme south there is the Negev desert. Among the mountains of Nablus and the mountains of Galilee is located Marj Bin Amer, cut Mount Carmel, which extends from the mountains of Nablus in the north west, the coastal plain. Elevations ranging from 417 meters below sea level in the Dead Sea (the lowest point on the surface of land in the world) to 1204 meters above sea level at the top
